The Most Wonderful Father

I have the most wonderful Father. How about you? Are you jealous? You don*t have to be. You can have Him too. He wants you to be His child and proves that over and over. Rejecting Him is the most foolish thing anyone can do.

Isaiah 9:6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

How wonderful He is does not vary. The only variable is our limited knowledge of Him. You can have a more wonderful Father than I have by simply knowing Him better than I do. Actually, you will not have a more wonderful Father than I have, you will just know Him better. He will be as wonderful to you as you let Him be. The more we know Him the more we know how wonderful He is. The more we know Him the more joy we will have and the more we will enjoy Him. The more we know Him the more fulfilled we will be. The more we know Him the more we will value Him. The more we know Him the more His wonderfulness will be a reality to us and the more we will experience it in our lives.

Some believe that He is wonderful in eternal and spiritual things but not in the circumstances of their lives. Some believe that He is wonderful in the circumstances of their lives but not in eternal and spiritual things. He is wonderful in ALL things.

God is an ocean of wonderful. I can look at a cup of water or I can seek to see an ocean of water. I can also just look for a small amount of God*s wonderful or I can seek to see the ocean of wonderful that He is. He is completely wonderful! We Christians are too often like a half-dry sponge. Many are actually afraid to know Him. We fear Him for the wrong reasons. We should fear not knowing Him.

Each of us has the opportunity to choose Him as our Father when we receive Jesus.

John 1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

And then each of us can decide how wonderful He will be to us by seeking to know as much as we possibly can about Him.

2 Peter 1:2: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

How wonderful do you want Him to be TO YOU? You decide.
